Lottery:

If we receive more applications than are seats available by the deadline, a lottery will be held. Attendance at the lottery event is not required and will not affect an applicant’s chance for admission. Lottery preferences are drawn in the following order:

  1. Siblings of returning students residing in CSD 5

  2. Siblings of returning students who reside out of CSD 5

  3. Students who are children of current employees at GCCS, not to exceed 15% of GCCS’s total projected enrollment

  4. Students residing in the school district in which GCCS is located (CSD 5)

  5. Students who reside out of CSD 5

In addition to the preferences listed above, students with individual education plans (IEPs) are given an extra weight in our lottery

Enrollment

If you are awarded a seat in our admissions lottery, we'll contact you to confirm your intent to enroll at GCCS and begin the enrollment process, which includes attending a welcoming event before the school year starts.
