Teacher meetings will be allotted 10 minutes so please make sure to log in on time.
Students are to report to school at 8:30am to their A-Day first period class for attendance. Morning activities will follow in the gym. Students will be dismissed from school at 11:00am.
As you prepare for your teacher conference…
· If you scheduled a meeting with a teacher and you are no longer able to attend, please email the teacher (via PupilPath) prior to your scheduled time.
· Translation Services are available. Please let the teacher know if you would like a translator during your conference.
· Review your child’s progress via PupilPath before you meet with the teacher so that you can address specific questions or concerns.
· Below is a list of suggested questions you may consider asking during your meeting.
1. What are my child’s expectations for the class? How will this be assessed?
2. How will I know if my child is meeting expectations or falling behind?
3. What are the big projects my child will be doing in your class this year?
4. What does my child do well and what does he or she struggle with? Can you give me examples?
5. If my child needs extra help with classwork are there resources to help support his or her learning? Can you give me examples? How can my child sign up for these resources?
6. Does my child turn in homework and assignments on time?
7. Does my child appear happy at school? How does my child get along with classmates and adults?
8. Does my child participate regularly in class discussion and group activities?
9. What can I do outside of school to reinforce what my child is learning in the classroom?
10. Is there anything I can do as a parent or guardian to better support my child at school?
If you were unable to schedule a time during Parent-Teacher Conferences, you can meet with teachers during Family Engagement hours. Scheduling appointments will begin next week – you will receive an email as soon as the Booking site is updated.
